Needham Young STARs is a four-day STEM workshop for 3rd through 6th graders to participate in various team-based engineering and design challenges and delve into new science concepts! We will learn new hands-on concepts about mechanical engineering, led by members of the high school robotics team. Throughout the week, groups of students will work on a final project surrounding a real-world issue that they will learn about throughout the week. Students will build a prototype for whatever solution they come up with and create a trifold to present their project. This week we will be exploring more about the spread of viruses and how to stay safe! Our final project will be creating solutions to preserve public safety against sickness. At the end of the program, parents are invited to our science symposium to view students’ final projects! Get excited to unleash your inner engineer, mathematician, and scientist!
