Campers dive into the world of professional video game development using Unreal Engine 5. From learning the basics of UE5 editor operations to developing procedural meshes and AI controllers, this camp is a one-stop shop for gamers who want to go from players to creators. It's an Introduction to the most popular real-time 3D environment generation and game engine in the world. Unreal engine is the basis of many popular games today (such as Fortnite) and it is an extremely powerful 3D environment generation engine. We introduce students to the engine, what its capabilities are, how to interact with it, and develop for it and conduct many hands-on activities that will educate, challenge and excite them. Whether it is to build a massive world using their creativity, generate creative art and assets, set illumination, and build characters and stories, the environment will allow students to follow their dreams.
