Learn how to save a life!
Heartsaver
This course teaches participants how to perform CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively. It is designed for anyone with little or no medical training. The registration fee is $40 with the option to add a $25 digital certification card.
Topics include:
- Recognizing cardiac arrest
- Providing high-quality CPR for adults, children, & infants
- Using an AED
- Providing choking help for adults, children, & infants
- Administering Narcan
- Using an epinephrine auto-injector
Basic Life Support (BLS)
This course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills. The Public Health Division is not offering public BLS classes at this time. Please email Laura Duff at lduff@needhamma.gov if you are interested in scheduling a private BLS class for groups of 3-6 participants.
Proceeds from the registration fee go towards Needham’s Domestic Violence Action Committee (DVAC) and Gift of Warmth program.
Please note that the registration and digital card fees are non-refundable. However, you may request to have your registration transferred to another class if space permits.
