The Needham Police Department is offering a free five-day program for youth to explore police-related activities such as K-9 and Community Resource Dog units, SWAT, Honor Guard, patrol and detective work. Youth will be active participants and have an opportunity to learn about and experience first-hand the duties of different roles within a police department.

Week 1: Rising 6th and 7th Graders
June 17th - June 21st, 2024
9:00am-3:00pm each day
Needham Police Department, 99 School St, Needham
Spots limited to 20 participants that are rising into 6th and 7th grade for the 2024-2025 school year.


Week 2: Rising 8th and 9th Graders
July 8th - July 12th, 2024
9:00am-3:00pm each day

Spots limited to 20 participants that are rising into 8th and 9th grade for the 2024-2025 school year.

*Please be prepared that some days may include field trips that require an earlier drop off between 8am-8:30am. Program leaders will inform participants in advance of these days.  

Participants will receive a free t-shirt and hat. Snack and lunch provided daily. Certificate of Completion will be awarded at the end of the program.
