The Literacy Lab: Investigating Books & Experimenting with Creativity • Register • View Cart •

The Literacy Lab is a weekly program that fosters a love of reading while strengthening comprehension skills through engaging read-alouds and creative activities. Led by a licensed elementary school teacher and reading specialist, each session features a vibrant picture book and a learning activity focused on a key comprehension strategy, such as predicting, questioning, inferring, identifying, connecting, sequencing, or retelling. Each week introduces a new strategy to deepen understanding and build critical reading skills. After the learning activity, participants extend the fun with a hands-on craft that matches the theme of the story, making The Literacy Lab an engaging blend of education and creativity!
