Focus on badminton fundamentals for holding a racket, swing and footwork technique, as well as basic shots. Proper warm-up and drills will be introduced as well. Fundamental skills as a foundation for badminton skills and movements as follow. - Proper forehand and backhand grips- Forehand lift- Backhand lift - Clear (high/long)- Serves- Introduction to footwork- Half court practiceNO PROGRAMNOVEMBER 11Students will need a racket and bring non-marking, indoor court shoes. Our futsal (indoor soccer) specific curriculum aids players in their skill development. The goal is to become comfortable and confident with the ball while learning specific skills to then be utilized in fun but challenging games. Classes will be broken down to teach both the technical side (foot skills) as well as the tactical side (moving the ball properly to create proper fluidity), and ending with small sided games.
