Needham Health Department: American Heart Association CPR Class - Heartsaver CPR Class: 9/14/2026 Learn how to save a life!HeartsaverThis course teaches participants how to perform CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively. It is designed for anyone with little or no medical training. The registration fee is $40 with the option to add a $25 digital certification card.Topics include:
Recognizing cardiac arrest
Providing high-quality CPR for adults, children, & infants
Using an AED
Providing choking help for adults, children, & infants
Administering Narcan
Using an epinephrine auto-injector
Infant CPRThis class teaches participants how to perform CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) on infants only. It is designed for anyone with little or no medical training. The registration fee is $10. This is not an American Heart Association class, and there is no certification option. Topics include:
Providing high-quality CPR for infants only
Using an AED for infants only
Providing choking help for infants only
Basic Life Support (BLS)This course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills. The Public Health Division is not offering public BLS classes at this time. Please email Laura Duff at lduff@needhamma.gov if you are interested in scheduling a private BLS class for groups of 3-6 participants.Proceeds from the registration fee go towards Needham’s Domestic Violence Action Committee (DVAC) and Gift of Warmth program. Please note that the registration and digital card fees are non-refundable. However, you may request to have your registration transferred to another class if space permits.
